We are extremely excited to release the new MAG MAX™! We have been working on several new improvements to the product including more digestive and joint support, and it is now available for ordering.

Ulcers affect the squamous and glandular portions of the stomach according to Dr. Kathleen Crandell at Kentucky Equine Research.  Ulcers cause a decrease in performance but can be treated. Therefore, it is extremely important to your equine athlete that you provide daily natural support to keep their metabolism and digestion working at a proper level after treatment for ulcers.

We have now added Licorice Root, Slippery Elm, and Chondroitin to Mag Max. Licorice acts as an anti-inflammatory and reduces bronchial spasms.  It helps improve resistance to stress and is popular for horses that are prone to colic. Licorice consists of 30 different flavonoids, has anti-fungal properties, and has many antioxidant benefits according to research from University of Adelaide in South Australia. Horses that are known to have an irritated stomach should add Licorice to their daily regimen.

Natural Horse Magazine describes how Slippery Elm acts as a soothing anti-inflammatory herb that promotes healing and reduces any irritated areas in the gut.  Slippery Elm reduces the discomfort associated with acid build-up in the stomach that accompanies gastric ulcers.  This herb is now one of the most popular natural ingredients you can add to your horse’s daily ration for gut health.

Chondroitin is a major structural component of cartilage and bone. The greatest benefit of chondroitin is to prevent further cartilage breakdown.
